INSTRUCTIONS and troubleshooting
How do I stamp?
This consists of 4 easy steps as follows:
1)paint the Special Polish onto the Image Plate using desired design (paint once or twice to cover the whole image, do NOT dab or use a very thin layer of polish as the polish will dry, if polish dries then we won’t be able to stamp it onto our nails)
2) use the Scraper and scrape off the excess polish (hold the scraper at an angle, press against the image plate and scrape the extra polish away from the design. The image plates will get scratched but its normal and will not get damaged by this) once you scrape, you should immediately grab the stamper to pick up the design.
3)Use the Stamper and press it onto the design, and QUICKLY pick up. (Do not press the stamper too long, or do not roll the stamper back and forth) it should be similar to pressing an ENTER key on your keyboard. The faster, the better the results.
4) Now roll the design onto the desired nail left to right to transfer the design completely.
Practice this a few times, and remember to be consistent. If you have problems then see below to see what you could be doing wrong.
I can’t get the design onto the Stamper?
You could be using too little polish to paint on the design.
You could be painting enough polish but doing everything else too slow.
You could be pressing the stamper on the image plate for too long.
If your stamper is still new, use a buffer and buff the stamper to remove any film on it, this will make images pick up easier. ( Only buff the stamper when you first buy it, do not do this on a regular basis)
If your Special Polish is old or very thick, then this could be the reason.
Got the design on the stamper, but can’t transfer it onto the nail?
You nails could be oily, just wipe your nails with acetone and try it again.
You may be using too little polish to paint on the design.
If your Special Polish is old or very thick, then this could be the reason.
I’m using Konad Regular Top Coat but the designs smudges?
Once an image is stamped onto the nails, you can immediately put Konad Regular Top Coat to seal it. Make sure the brush has a dab of top coat and paint quickly over the image. Do NOT slowly drag the brush over the design, do NOT overlap the top coat layers.
